Our Story
We are Eric and Lisa Weesner. Sadly, we know first hand what it means to manage a loved one’s estate. In November 2016, Eric’s Mother passed away. Six weeks later Lisa’s Mother died suddenly. Both our Mothers lived 4+ hours away in different directions.
Handling their estates long distance was overwhelming - physically, emotionally and mentally. Trying to coordinate multiple services remotely was frustrating, expensive and time consuming. This process took its toll on our son and on our business. Through all of it, we kept thinking, “Wouldn’t it be a blessing to have one resource that could handle it all?”
The idea of Beacon Estate Services was formed from our personal experiences and our deep desire to help other families with the difficult process of managing a loved one’s estate through a loss of life, downsizing or a transition into an assisted living facility.
Over the last two years, we did our research and discovered the many great people and services to support families in this situation through counseling, legal and financial services, packing and moving, estate sales and transition services. Already a fully licensed and insured Construction company, we added Sales Preparation Services: cleaning, repairs and content removal. But our goal was to create a “one call” solution for all the resources relating to a loved one’s home and property. So we added Real Estate Services, Home Watch Services and created a Referral Network of Support Services to guide other families through this difficult and complicated process with compassion and professionalism.
Our mission is simple: We strive to coordinate all the details so you can focus on what’s most important in your time of need, your family. Let our family help yours.
